Global Health Council Appoints Board-Chair Elect and Four New Board Members

Washington, D.C., April 24, 2024 – Global Health Council announced today the appointment of four new Board members, as well as a Chair-Elect, Amy Boldosser-Boesch. With a career spanning over two decades in health policy and advocacy, Boldosser-Boesch is a distinguished leader in the field. She currently serves as the Senior Director and Practice Area Lead for Health Policy, Advocacy & Engagement at Management Sciences for Health (MSH), a global nonprofit organization dedicated to building resilient health systems worldwide.

“I’m deeply honored to be elected incoming Chair of the Board of the Global Health Council starting in 2025,” said Boldosser-Boesch. “As a long-time member of GHC and in my role as a board member, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of our collective voice and the power of our members to advance policy and investments in global health.”

Boldosser-Boesch will succeed current chair Kate Dodson, the Vice President for Global Health at the United Nations Foundation. Dodson, in her endorsement of Boldosser-Boesch’s appointment, remarked, “Amy’s dedication to global health and her extensive experience make her the perfect choice to lead GHC into its next chapter.”

Global Health Council President Elisha Dunn-Georgiou expressed her enthusiasm for Boldosser-Boesch’s appointment, stating, “Amy brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our mission. I am thrilled to work with her as GHC continues to drive positive change and make meaningful strides towards achieving health for all.”

Global Health Council also welcomed four new Board members, expanding the Board to 17 members.

“I look forward to partnering with Elisha, our dedicated staff, and the Board to advance GHC’s mission at this crucial moment for achieving health for all,” said Boldosser-Boesch.

Joining the Board of Directors are:

Craig Molyneaux

Craig Molyneaux is the Chief Operating Officer at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. With over 30 years of experience, he has played a pivotal role in meeting urgent needs in pediatric HIV and AIDS in heavily affected regions. He also serves on the Board of Directors at NetHope, focusing on collaborative solutions to global challenges.

Amanuel Moges Haile

Dr. Amanuel is a passionate advocate for global health equity and youth empowerment. With extensive experience in maternal and child health, he has led inclusive programs for youth within health and development agendas. As the founder of MELLA, he addresses critical issues like teenage pregnancy and female genital mutilation in Ethiopia.

Duha Ali

Duha Ali is a medical doctor with over 6 years of experience in promoting women’s health and rights. She founded youth-led initiatives targeting women and girls in underserved communities, advocating for sexual and reproductive health awareness. Duha has provided healthcare on the frontlines during crises, including the Covid-19 pandemic and armed conflicts in Sudan.

Hannah Cooper Klein

Hannah Cooper Klein is the co-founder and CEO of Cooper/Smith, providing health systems intelligence globally. With over 20 years of experience, she has advised governments on using data and technology to improve healthcare. Her passion lies in supporting African governments to manage healthcare programs efficiently with limited resources.
