Common perinatal mental disorders—including postpartum depression and anxiety—can have significant and lasting implications for women’s health and quality of life, and have been associated with adverse outcomes in newborns and children. A growing body of evidence shows a significant global burden of these disorders, including higher prevalence in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where access to prevention, care and treatment is often limited.
Join us for the virtual launch of the Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) Community of Practice — a platform to connect those interested in improving and promoting PMH prevention, care, and treatment. The community, hosted on IBPNetwork.org, is a collaborative and inclusive space to exchange best practices, lessons learned, and emerging evidence to advance the field of PMH. This webinar will:
- Introduce you to the PMH CoP, including how it was developed, the structure of its governance, as well as its purpose and key priorities.
- Foster discussions on the strategic direction of the CoP and provide an opportunity for feedback on proposed CoP focus areas and approaches.
- Offer guidance on how participants can join and engage with the CoP through the IBP Network.
