Healthy Planet, Healthy People: Navigating the Intersection of Climate Change and Universal Health Coverage

In recognition of Universal Health Coverage Day, Management Sciences for Health and the Internews Earth Journalism Network are convening a group of practitioners and advocates to examine how climate change is influencing implementation of universal health coverage (UHC) worldwide. As climate change threatens the accomplishment of UHC goals, hampering efforts to ensure equitable access to essential health care for all individuals and communities, resilient health systems are increasingly important. Our panel of experts will look to answer: What needs to be done to ensure that communities and health systems are prepared to withstand the increasing shocks from climate change? What are best practices for how communities are advancing UHC amidst growing climate threats? How can we ensure these experiences are brought to bear as countries and communities mobilize to achieve UHC in the face of the climate crisis?
