In recent weeks, I’ve had many people ask me about the Global Health Landscape Symposium (GHLS). For those of you who may be newer to our community, this is GHC’s signature event at which we convene policy and program experts to discuss the current state of global health and chart a path forward.

I am very pleased to announce that the next GHLS is happening November 18 – 21.

The theme of this year’s event is Navigating New Frontiers and will include a combination of both virtual and in-person opportunities. Our discussions will be informed by the more than 40 elections happening around the world this year — including the U.S. presidential election. It is critical to assess the impact this watershed year will have on global health investments and policies, while also determining how progress can continue to be made in spite of these challenges. We are structuring the agenda to explore what the changes in governance worldwide mean for global health.

The first three days of the event (Monday, November 18 –Wednesday, November 20) will be entirely virtual, enabling people and organizations from all over the world to participate. Each day will feature a series of concurrent sessions running from 8 AM to 12 PM EST. The fourth and final day of the symposium (Thursday, November 21) will take place in person in Washington, DC, and will focus on what U.S. election outcomes mean for global health policies, programs, and resources.

We will share much more about GHLS 2024 in the coming days, but we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to set this time aside as early as possible. We look forward to seeing many of you, virtually and in person, in November!
