Member Spotlight: Panorama Strategy

As a new member of the Global Health Council, Panorama Strategy is excited to contribute to this network dedicated to advancing global health advocacy. We believe in the transformative power of advocacy to drive improved health outcomes for all. We also know that partnerships and collaborations are paramount to achieving these goals.

Over our seven years as a consulting firm, we have partnered with civil society, philanthropic organizations, UN agencies, and others to elevate global health issues, mobilize resources, and shape policies. These experiences have provided us with deep insights into effective collaboration. Here are some ways we are applying these lessons and driving impact in our current projects:

  • Advancing discourse on the importance of climate action for elimination of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs): In collaboration with the END Fund and other partners (including Amref Health Africa, Global Institute for Disease Elimination, Dr. Mark Booth of Newcastle University, Reaching the Last Mile, Virgin Unite, WHO, and others) we published a policy perspectives paper urging greater integration of NTD elimination efforts with broader climate action strategies.
  • Amplifying priorities of community leaders in advocacy efforts for non-communicable diseases (NCDs): Panorama Strategy leads capacity-strengthening efforts for The Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Community Fund, which provides grants to community-based organizations in low- and middle-income countries. We facilitate peer learning, trainings on technical and organizational topics, and are collecting priorities and positions across the grantee cohort, which we will work with grantee partners to amplify ahead of the United Nations high-level meeting in 2025.

The T1D Community Fund proudly supports grantee partners in 23 countries

  • Promoting more collaborative policymaking practices in oncology: On the sidelines of the seventy-seventh World Health Assembly, we supported MSD’s panel discussion on the transformative power of stakeholder collaboration in oncology policymaking. This session brought together researchers, coalition leaders, and NGO representatives to share best practices and actionable ideas for fostering more inclusive and effective policymaking around the world.

Panelists at the oncology session discussed strategies for creating more effective, innovative, and equitable policies.

  • Strategically investing our own profits to reduce maternal mortality in the United States: In preparation for launching a new fund, which will provide grants to nonprofits improving maternal health outcomes in underserved communities, we conducted a landscape analysis and stakeholder mapping to identify opportunities, gaps, and specific organizations that are driving meaningful impact but may be overlooked by traditional funders. Our report will be published in the second half of 2024.

We work across a range of issue areas, collaborating closely with partners across the spectrum of global health and we would love to hear what you are up to! Find us on LinkedIn or get in touch with our Director of Global Health, Julia Roper, at julia.roper@panoramastrategy.com
