New Report: Measuring Global Health R&D for the Post-2015 Development Agenda
The Council on Health Research for Development, Foundation for Innovative Diagnostics, Global Health Technologies Coalition, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, Medicines for Malaria Venture, PATH, and TB Alliance released a new report, “Measuring global health R&D for the post-2015 development agenda.” The report underscores the critical link between global health research and development (R&D) and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and calls for the inclusion of robust indicators to measure global health R&D in the SDG monitoring framework.

The Religion & Sustainable Development Conference took place from July 7-9 in Washington, DC to facilitate a problem-solving, working meeting for key policymakers and academic, religious, and faith-inspired practice leaders and focus on practical solutions to partnership challenges between the religious and faith community and the public sector. Strategy for Mobilizing WASH and NTD Actors
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are critical in the prevention and care for 16 of the 17 neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) scheduled for intensified control or elimination by 2020. Provision of safe WASH is one of the five key interventions within the global NTD roadmap. The strategy further aims to mobilize WASH and NTD actors to work together towards the roadmap targets.
