Time for Commitment and Action: Defining and measuring success of the WHO Global Oral Health Action Plan
Member States from each of the 6 WHO Regions: Ireland (Host), The Republic of Kenya, State of Kuwait, Malaysia, Canada, and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka will present. Representatives from WHO and civil society including The Borrow Foundation, World Dental Federation (FDI), International Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research (IADR), and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) will also participate.

- To highlight success stories from Oral Health Champion Member States.
- To showcase innovative means of evaluating interventions.
- To discuss the way forward to mobilize stakeholders beyond the oral health sector.

Director, Noncommunicable Diseases in the division of UHC/Communicable and Noncommunicable diseases, WHO HQ, Dr Bente Mikkelsen
18.15 – 18.50: Commitments from Member States
Ireland, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Canada, and Sri Lanka will share their experiences regarding the implementation of the WHO Global Oral Health Action Plan and its surveillance.
18.50 – 19.15: Plenary and questions
Civil society and Member States reflect on the challenges and the opportunities of the WHO Global Oral Health strategy. An opportunity for questions from the floor.
19.15 – 19.20: Closing remarks
Thailand’s announcement of the WHO Global Oral Health Meeting 2024.
