Council on Foreign Relations
1777 F Street, NW, Washington DC

As donors increasingly direct funding to local organizations, aid localization is having a profound impact on the international development world. This growing trend creates significant opportunities and challenges for the global aid community.

Join Global Finance Strategies, Devex and InsideNGO for an interactive panel discussion on the impact of “Going Local” on aid effectiveness, the increasing operational burden faced by local organizations and the creative solutions being implemented.

A range of experts will offer perspectives on the future of international development assistance, including USAID Assistant Administrator Ariel Pablos-Méndez, Save the Children Executive Vice President and COO Carlos Carrazana, Devex President and Editor-in-Chief Raj Kumar and other representatives from donors, local NGOs and international NGOs.

Global Finance Strategies will also be launching a new report, “Going Local: The Promises and Challenges of Aid Localization,” based on in-depth interviews with NGOs and donors.

RSVP by 15 April.
