The Aid Report: Connecting U.S. Aid Cut Evidence

This presentation will introduce The Aid Report, a Devex-powered, Gates-funded initiative tracking the real-world impacts of recent U.S. foreign assistance cuts through original reporting and a continuously updated Impact Tracker. The session will explain how The Aid Report collects, verifies, and tags field-level data from affected organizations and communities, and how this information is synthesized alongside investigative reporting and secondary sources.
The presentation will then highlight several emerging trends visible across aggregated impact data, including shifts in access to essential health services, erosion of community trust following abrupt funding withdrawals, and the weakening of civilian prevention and stabilization capacity in fragile contexts. For InterAction Members, these findings offer a shared evidence base to help document impacts, inform advocacy and policy engagement, and better understand how funding disruptions are playing out across sectors and geographies.
