Rethinking the future of maternal and child survival in Africa in a changing aid landscape – Session 2

July 30 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Over the last seven months, global financing for health has undergone unprecedented changes, with urgent questions for the future playing out at the national level. As donor countries scale back their global health commitments, African nations must double down on domestic health spending, amplify maternal and child survival on political agendas, and meet the commitments they have set for themselves.

In session one, we focused on how countries are protecting maternal, newborn, and child health as the funding landscape continues to shift. For anyone who missed session one or wants to revisit the conversation, a recording of the session and the speaker slides are now available.

As we continue the conversation in session two, we will spotlight the role of public-private partnerships in unlocking additional resources for health.

Objectives:

  • Examine the impact of the changing aid landscape on progress made in maternal and child survival.
  • Foster collective action to safeguard decades of gains.
  • Discuss innovative funding mechanisms and partnerships that can sustain and improve health outcomes for women and children.

Even if you were able to join us for part one, registration for part two is required to attend.
