“Noncommunicable Diseases: Affecting and Affected by COVID-19” is part of the series of Independent Panel town hall “Exchange” meetings, which are aimed at hearing from people working on the frontlines of the pandemic.
During this Exchange, the Independent Panel will learn more about the dynamics of non-communicable disease on this pandemic. This includes the direct health impacts of COVID-19 on those with underlying NCD conditions; on the challenges faced by people managing NCDs throughout this pandemic; and on the ways in which mapping NCDs can help future pandemic planning and response.
The outcomes will inform key themes in the Panel’s Program of Work and contribute to the Independent Panel’s report findings.
The Independent Panel is pleased to coordinate this event with the NCD Alliance.
All are welcome to attend!
Moderator: Katie Dain, CEO, NCD Alliance
Panelists:
The Right Hon. Helen Clark, Co-Chair, the Independent Panel
Professor K. Srinath Reddy, Public Health Foundation of India
Dr. Tom Frieden, Resolve to Save Lives
