The Summer Institute is a program that offers graduate level courses for graduate students, research staff/managers, postdocs, and others with an interest in research and global health. These courses are offered in a flexible five day format from July 29th to August 2nd and enable participants to earn up to 1 credit hour per course!

The two courses being offered this year are:

  • Understanding Commercial Determinants of Health: A conceptual understanding and framework for commercial (industry driven) determinants of health as key to improving public health using a case-study approach.
  • Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR): An interactive course primarily designed for individuals (faculty, IRB members, students, research staff, etc.) engaged in scientific research in any discipline, such as NIH and NSF funded research to foster a research culture which is based on high ethical and professional standards.
