Improving the Quality of Integrated Family Planning Services in Niger (Part 1)

June 22, 2022

RSVP

The Government of Niger (GON) is committed to reducing maternal and infant mortality by improving access to quality family planning services. In 2013, the Department of Family Planning adopted a national repositioning family planning action plan and recently developed a 2021-2025 second-generation plan to meet existing needs and remove barriers that prevent women from using these services. The objective of the second-generation plan is to increase the modern contraceptive prevalence rate (mCPR) from 21.8% in 2021 to 29.3% in 2025. Learn about how IMPACT 2 partnered with the GON to support this goal and integrate quality family planning services into maternal and child health services.

Moderator: Dr. Amadou Housseini, Director of Family Planning, Ministry of Public Health, Population and Social Affairs

Speaker: Harouna Zakou, Technical Program Coordinator, Pathfinder International
