How Can Health Equity Accelerate Progress toward Universal Health Coverage in Global Settings?

December 13, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

Free

Public health threats like COVID-19 have highlighted unjust and preventable health inequities in countries around the world. Disparities related to socio-economic conditions, geography and location, age, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity, and race and ethnicity can impact countries’ ability to weather the effects of conflict, natural disasters, and public health emergencies – thwarting global efforts to reach the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

Join RTI International for the first virtual session in a Global Health Equity Dialogue Series that will serve as a platform for exchange on how the international community can address the major drivers of health inequities to achieve health for all. In honor of International Universal Health Coverage Day (UHC) Day on December 12, this first session features a panel of experts discussing the current state of health equity worldwide, major gaps in investments, and how prioritizing health equity can help countries to advance universal healthcare. Bring your most burning questions about global health equity!

About the Global Health Equity Dialogue Series
