Women represent 7 out of every 10 health and care workers in many countries and the health sector has a critical role to play in empowering women and realizing equal rights for an equal future. This session will present solutions from the health workforce to advance gender equality. Solutions are through a disaster risk reduction lens and include the protection of women, ensuring decent pay, advancing women’s leadership, and strengthening data for decision-making.
