Please join us to learn about the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) Insights Project’s research prioritization process for identifying and advancing country-driven research priorities for malaria control and elimination in the Africa region.

With the Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Senegal, the PMI Insights Project conducted a broad stakeholder consultation process with national malaria programs, researchers, and implementing partners from malaria-endemic countries in sub-Saharan Africa to gather perspectives on pressing evidence gaps in malaria strategy and guidelines, and priority operational research (OR) and program evaluation topics (PE) to address the identified gaps. The process was carried out with the aim of identifying a set of country-driven and locally prioritized OR and PE priorities. A central goal of this effort is to foster improved alignment of country-identified research priorities in sub-Saharan Africa with those of funding agencies in support of a more coordinated and impactful approach to research investment decisions. During this webinar, our speakers will share details on the process, the prioritized list of OR and PE topics, and the vision for addressing the identified research priorities.
