Community-Led Development in Health Systems

September 28, 2021

On behalf of the Movement for Community-led Development and CanWaCH, it is my pleasure to invite you to a special Sector Dialogue on Community-Led Development in Health Systems.

Strengthening community health systems is the only pathway towards attaining SDG 3 and ensuring health and well-being for all. This dialogue provides a platform for health sector practitioners and experts to share best practices on applying community-led development (CLD) in the health sector, discuss obstacles, and develop pathways for decolonizing global health.

The dialogue will begin with a panel discussion with Angela Nguku, Executive Director, White Ribbon Alliance Kenya and Chris Collins, President and CEO, Friends of the Global Fight on decolonizing global health and financing community health systems.

This will be followed by breakout group discussions on four critical areas:  RMNCHA (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health), Immunizations and Vaccinations, HIV/AIDS and Community Health Workers. Sessions will be led by Kiki Kalkstein, Director of Advocacy and Engagement, Global Health Council, Dr. Stella Kanyerere, Senior Health Advisor, Living Goods, Tariah Adams, Communication & Advocacy Officer, White Ribbon Alliance Nigeria and Vashti Rebong, Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights, Philippines. Please sign up for the breakout group of your interest in the registration form.
If you have any questions, please write to kristiann.koris@thp.org.
