Building Resilience: Country Experiences Delivering Primary Care during Covid-19

August 3, 2021

RSVP

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the provision of essential health services worldwide, including routine immunizations. Strong, community-focused primary health care programs have proven instrumental in maintaining services for non-communicable diseases, delivering maternal and newborn health care, and sustaining vaccination programs during the pandemic.

Please join the CSIS Commission on Strengthening America’s Health Security for a discussion with Román Macaya Hayes, Executive President of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund, and Kwame Amponsa-Achiano, Program Manager, Expanded Program on Immunization, Ghana Health Service (invited) on how primary health care services can support vaccine distribution and health security in the context of the Covid-19 crisis. The conversation will be moderated Katherine E. Bliss, Senior Fellow with the CSIS Global Health Policy Center.
