Tuberculosis (TB) kills more people than any other infectious disease and drug resistant TB is recognized as a global health security threat. However, there is new momentum to end the disease. Last year the United Nations held a High-Level Meeting on TB, where 120 countries, including the U.S., signed a Political Declaration committing to accelerating the TB response.

Join us to hear from experts about US-led efforts to accelerate TB research and leverage an effective response to the epidemic in the US and abroad.

Speakers:

Diana Fortune, RN, BSN, President, National TB Controllers Association and TB Program Manager, New Mexico Department of Health

Sneha Dedhia, physician and TB survivor, New York

Cheri Vincent, TB Division Chief, Bureau for Global Health, USAID

Mark Harrington, Executive Director, Treatment Action Group, New York
