Many health groups and partners have identified the need to prioritize strengthening health systems and addressing disparities in access as a key step to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals — specifically SDG 3 on health and well-being for all.

While evaluation measurements traditionally focus on counts and outputs, this shift in health care approaches also implies the development of new measurement tools to ascertain the real impact of these initiatives.

This event, hosted by Devex in partnership with Amgen, will explore how health partners are rethinking monitoring and evaluation to better capture the true impact of health system strengthening efforts, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Featuring voices from policy, implementation, and biopharma, the session will address the limitations of traditional metrics and examine new approaches that prioritize sustainability, equity, and context-specific outcomes.
