Accelerating Action Against Malnutrition:
Reaching Every Last Child

May 13, 2016
10:00 – 11:00 am

Kaiser Family Foundation
1330 G Street NW
Washington, DC

Please RSVP by Thursday, May 12, to Sydney at sbritton@savechildren.org.

Please join for an urgent conversation on accelerating progress to address malnutrition to the goal of ending preventable child and maternal deaths.  Last fall, the world agreed to reaching this vision by 2030 and also committed to ending all forms of malnutrition within the same time frame. However, we will not be able to reach this goal without reaching the most deprived and vulnerable populations. This session will examine malnutrition as a leading contributor to preventable maternal and child deaths, how malnutrition disproportionately impacts the most excluded children, and how the global community can come together to make progress in addressing this issue.

Speakers to include:

• Dr. Ariel Pablos-Mendez, Assistant Administrator, Global Health, USAID
• Roger Thurow, Chicago Council on Global Affairs and author of The First 1,000 Days: A Crucial Time for Mothers and Children—And the World
• Karin Lapping, Senior Director, Nutrition, Save the Children
