WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: PROTECTING LIFE IN GLOBAL HEALTH ASSISTANCE

GHC member PAI’s unofficial guide, “What You Need to Know About the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Restrictions on U.S. Global Health Assistance” is a document meant to clarify the services that are made permissible under the expanded Mexico City Policy, or Global Gag Rule as it is more commonly known. This guide can serve as a helpful and informative resource for US global health assistance implementing partners and their sub-grantees. Spanish and French translations of the guide are forthcoming. View PAI’s website for more information.

Please contact Jonathan Rucks (jrucks@pai.org) or Craig Lasher (clasher@pai.org) if you have questions about the expanded Global Gag Rule or any of the points in the guide. For copies of the documents quoted or referenced in this summary, for assistance in understanding the current U.S. government policies, or to submit information on the experiences of organizations in implementing the policy, please contact PAI via email at PLGHA@pai.org.
