Beyond Survival: The Case for Investing in Young Children Globally
On June 16, the National Academy of Medicine published Beyond Survival: The Case for Investing in Young Children Globally. The paper argues that investing in young children globally is a primary means of achieving sustainable human, social, and economic development, all of which are vital to ensuring international peace and security. For the first time, early childhood development is acknowledged as a critical part of the global development agenda.

The Innovation Effect
GHC Member PATH recently launched the campaign, Innovation Effect – a conversation as much as a call-to-action to highlight and drive forward using innovation to tackle global health challenges, and aimed to identify actions that power disruptive solutions. The Innovation Effect happens when unique partnerships, disruptive technologies, transformed systems, and data-driven insights combine-in often unexpected ways-creating improvements in the health and well-being of people around the world.

Global Digital Health Forum
The third annual Global Digital Health Forum (formerly the Global mHealth Forum), focusing on digital and connected health in low- and middle- income countries, will be held December 13-14 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Forum’s objectives are to enhance the capacity of governments, donors, civil society, NGOs, and social entrepreneurs to design, implement, and evaluate digital health initiatives; and, to provide a space for global health stakeholders working in LMICs to network and share knowledge. Submit a proposal by June 30.
