GHC Board Nominations 2014

GHC Board Nominations

Global Health Council (GHC) is the leading membership organization supporting and connecting advocates, implementers and stakeholders around global health priorities worldwide. The organization is the collaborative voice of the global health community on global health issues; it convenes stakeholders around key global health priorities and actively engages key decision makers to influence health policy.

The Board of Directors wants to build on GHC’s strengths and enhance the quality and diversity of our board. To see our current Board, please visit our Board of Directors page:

Each year, the Board calls for nominations before the meeting of the Nominating Committee that recommends a slate of candidates for election to the Board of Directors. Members’ terms are three years, and the terms are staggered, so new Board members are elected each year.

We would appreciate your assistance in identifying outstanding individuals suitable for election to the Board. They will need to be able to participate at the three Board meetings per year, not have conflicting or competing board responsibilities elsewhere, carry considerable respect and credibility within the global health community, and have a solid, strategic sense to guide the organization’s direction. Ideally, they would help connect GHC to other relevant networks and aid in resource mobilization. They must also have reasonable communications access for regular informal consultation.

Because of the Council’s role as a bridge among different global health sectors, we seek recommendations for individuals from the private sector, the Global South and/or those with a background in global health research and development. A solid track record of social responsibility and committed engagement in issues pertinent to the core global health agenda are particularly important.

If you know an individual(s) you would like to nominate for election to the GHC Board of Directors, please complete the nomination form at the link below by Wednesday, October 8, 2014.  If you have questions please contact
