Fiscal Year 2016 Appropriations Update (as of July 16, 2015)

With the end of the current fiscal year looming on the horizon, there are few working weeks left for Congress to pass appropriation bills. The State and Foreign Operations Appropriations bill is no longer expected to be voted on in the House, and it’s unlikely that any appropriations bill will go to the Senate floor. It seems inevitable that there will be a budget deal when Congress returns from its August recess. Please see updated FY16 appropriations chart below.

Key accounts (in millions):

* The House included $132 million for UNICEF in the Maternal and Child Health account. The Senate included UNICEF funding in International Operations and Programs.

** Pandemic Influenza and Emerging Threats was changed to Global Health Security in the President’s FY16 Proposed Budget.
