Understanding the Economics of Microbial Threats—A Workshop

The Forum on Microbial Threats will host a 1.5-day workshop to examine the interaction of economic activity and microbial threats, featuring a range of perspectives on the economic costs of endemic infectious diseases, emerging biological risks, and antimicrobial resistance, as well as the economic costs of national preparedness and accelerating research and development. The meeting will culminate in breakout sessions on day 2 to identify priority next steps and develop actionable strategies across the topics explored throughout the workshop. This public workshop will be held at the Keck Center in Washington, DC.
