Light refreshments will be provided.

As policymakers consider drastic cuts to our nation’s global health research infrastructure and as we confront the continued rise of global disease outbreaks, it’s more important than ever to examine how US investments are delivering value and impact at home and abroad. Global health research and development (R&D)—which saves lives in the world’s poorest places while generating economic and security returns for America—is a best buy for our nation.

Join GHTC and Policy Cures Research for a dialogue and briefing to launch a new report on examining the return on investment from US government support for global health R&D, and discuss how we can leverage these report findings to advance global health innovation in uncertain times.

FEATURING:

  • Dr. J. Stephen Morrison, Senior Vice President and Director, Global Health Policy Center, Center for Strategic and International Studies
  • Jamie Bay Nishi, Director, Global Health Technologies Coalition
  • Jami Taylor, Senior Director, Global Health Systems Policy & Partnerships, Johnson & Johnson
  • Additional speakers to be announced.
