Join UBS Optimus Foundation and United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact in New York City for a conversation with experts from the public and private sector on best practices in innovative financing for global health and development.
The panel of experts will discuss the role of non-traditional financing approaches in development and provide examples of how these approaches are being applied to achieve development goals.
The event will highlight the recently launched Utkrisht Impact Bond, a development impact bond aiming to reduce maternal and newborn deaths in India, which was led by a public-private partnership including UBS, USAID, Merck for Mothers, PSI, Palladium, HLFPPT, and the government of Rajasthan, India; USAID’s recent report Closing the $2 Billion Gap, created in partnership with the Financing Alliance for Health, that makes the investment case for community health financing; and other current and future efforts to apply innovative financing models and leverage the private sector to bridge funding gaps in global health.
