The Africa Japan Forum, a Japanese civil society organization will host a side event of HLPF 2018 (High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development), titled “Human-Centered Approach to Tuberculosis for Healthier Cities and Human Settlement”, inviting key TB activists and experts, and Japanese Permanent Representative to the UN, which is the co-chair of the coming UN TB High Level Meeting on July 11th.

This event focuses on the global challenge of Tuberculosis which is the biggest killer infectious disease in the world nowadays, especially in the context of urban settings and human settlement, and discuss how to make the UN High-Level Meeting on TB as a tipping point to end TB by 2030. Also, this event will provide a good opportunity for dialogue between Japanese Permanent Mission to the UN and civil society in the stage two months before the UN HLM on TB.
