This event will feature findings from UNICEF’s new 2017 Child Mortality Report and a preview of Save the Children’s new report, Every Last Breath which illustrates the urgent need to address pneumonia.
Over the past 25 years, the world has reduced child mortality by more than half and maternal mortality by nearly as much. In spite of this progress, 15,000 children still die each day around the world from preventable causes such as pneumonia and diarrhea.
Pneumonia remains the leading infectious cause of death among children under five, killing 2,500 children a day. Tackling pneumonia is one of the key ways to reach the ambitious global goal of ending all preventable child deaths by 2030.
Join for a discussion on how we can continue to accelerate progress on child survival.
