Ministers and high-level representatives of the 53 Member States in the WHO European Region, and partner and civil-society organizations will take part in the session, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 15–18 September 2014.

In addition, the Regional Committee will nominate the WHO Regional Director for Europe to serve a five-year term, as well as members of the WHO Executive Board and committees.
The 4-day programme also includes 6 progress reports on: HIV/AIDS, alcohol use, injury prevention, the European environment and health process, child and adolescent health, and antibiotic resistance. These reports will provide updates on the implementation of resolutions agreed by the Regional Committee at previous sessions.
Technical briefings and ministerial lunches will offer additional opportunities to discuss technical agenda items.
