The University of Toronto International Health Program presents:
The 4th Annual Ontario Model WHO 2014 Conference
Health in Times of Conflict
OMWHO is the first, and remains the only conference in Ontario that works to simulate committee sessions of the World Health Organization for students across Canada. This year, they will host 200 delegates from across Canada for three days of speakers, debates, and discussions on health in times of conflict.
This year’s theme is Health in Times of Conflict. Conflict is a pervasive theme in our world, and they place horrendous strains on society, leading to injuries, poverty, death, and shattered healthcare. Our conference this year will construct a platform that explores the full impact of conflict on the health of populations while also providing strategies that can mitigate its devastating effects.
